Director Consulting Services – Retail and Consumer Services

Position Description:

As Director Consulting Services (DCS) you will play a pivotal role in shaping our market presence and driving client success. This position combines strategic business leadership with hands-on operational excellence and participation in client delivery. Ensuring both growth and delivery at the highest level.

You will lead the expansion of our retail activities leveraging commercial drive industry insight and deep sector knowledge to guide both clients and consultants.
As a connecting leader; you coach and develop the team and contribute to strategic engagements.

You understand how to build trust as an advisor and forge long-term relationships in a rapidly changing market. You also play a key role in expanding CGIs network within the retail sector actively identifying and seizing new opportunities.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Business Leadership

- Drive business development initiatives and innovation in partnership with our key clients.

- Identifying new customers market needs and opportunities to expand CGIs retail footprint.

- Build and maintain strong client relationships actively expanding your network to strengthen CGIs market position.

- Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives guiding and leading in areas like digital strategy omnichannel transformation and operational optimization.

- Take financial ownership of your portfolio including forecasting reporting and ensuring profitability.


Operational Excellence

Lead the delivery of digital transformation projects and contribute in shaping opportunities for leading retail clients ensuring measurable impact and innovation. And in your role as a sector expert play an active part in your projects and participate in the client delivery.

Oversee complex consultancy assignments providing substantive coaching and thought leadership within your team. Collaborate as a team player to create new solutions with our experts especially in Managed Services.

Recruit develop and retain top consulting talent fostering quality cohesion and professional growth.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Over 8 years of professional experience in senior leadership roles within global complex contexts with a proven track record in the retail sector and consultancy.

Leadership experience: a hands-on leader with experience in managing coaching and growing teams

An established and growing network within the retail industry with ambition to expand it further for CGI

Experience with digital transformation and omnichannel strategies

Expertise in areas like Managed IT Services operational excellence Cloud and digital transformation projects

Strong commercial skills: sales-minded and results-oriented

Financial acumen: understanding of cost structures margins and project control

A completed university degree in business engineering computer science or a comparable field

Fluent in English spoken and written
