Primary Curriculum Coach

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelors degree from a recognized accredited college or university;
2. Valid Texas teaching certification;
3. Minimum of four (4) years of successful experience as an elementary classroom teacher;
4. Preference is given to applicants with experience in elementary education and early childhood;
5. Demonstrated:
   • Commitment to life-long learning that supports high-quality first-time instruction including the use of technology;
   • Ability to develop and write curriculum;
   • Ability to lead professional learning;
   • Ability to manage data;
6. Demonstrated skills in leading motivating and cooperating with other teachers campus administrators and district personnel.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Probationary/Term Contract: 197 days

SALARY:

$67640 (IA-3)

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Assist with the creation and implementation of a strong research-based primary curriculum that supports the development of literacy math social studies science daily schedules etc. for Pre-K - 1st-grade students.
2. Create and provide staff development collaborate with teachers and advise campus staff on the implementation of the primary LA math science and social studies TEKS and the district curriculum.
3. Support campus staff with the alignment of curriculum instruction and assessment through data analysis planning modeling lessons training and consulting.
4. Establish a professional learning community (New Teacher Academy and District Model Teacher program) that supports the growth and development of new Pre-K Kindergarten and 1st-grade teachers.
5. Plan for and support the integration of technology in all primary curricular
6. Provide training coordination and assistance with the implementation of all early literacy programs and/or additional initiatives.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Primary Curriculum for Pre-K - 1st.
8. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing stooping bending pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks media equipment desks and other classroom equipment.
