The Department of Hematology is seeking full-time applicants for the Manager Epidemiologic Research. This position is responsible for overseeing Hematologys Clinical Trial Management Data Team which includes providing guidance on data collection management and analyses for clinical research from department PIs. Much of the effort will be directed towards managing the data collection and cleaning process for our lifetime longitudinal cohort of patients with Sickle Cell Disease which includes supervising data team members tasked with these responsibilities.

This position will work in a hybrid capacity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects/teams including creation and management of project plans in alignment with overall program goals
  • Monitor and manage the coordination of activities within a team implement policies and execute plans
  • Proactively anticipate and understand concerns/issues delays in the project/implementation of plans and develop risk assessment and contingency plans
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment between multiple teams
  • Ensure all projects and tasks are executed within predefined timelines and budgets in compliance with all applicable standards & regulations
  • Mentor and guide team members and ensure they have all the resources required to complete their assigned tasks
  • Engage in hiring performance management and other people processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelors degree in computational or related life-science field required.
  • Masters or PhD preferred in a public health or life-science field.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum Requirement: 5 progressive years of experience in computational sciences with a focus on heath data.
  • Experience managing at least 1-2 people preferred.
  • Extensive experience leading projects/processes end to end including resource and vendor management and communication and collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and external partners preferred.
  • Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets experience and training licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $114400 - $216320 per year for the role of Manager Epidemiologic Research - Department of Hematology.
