Job Summary
Shift: Nights
Hours: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Duration: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Radius Rule: 100-Mile Radius Applies
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will assess plan implement and evaluate care for patients presenting with a wide range of emergent conditions.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking leadership ability and the capacity to function effectively in high-stress situations.
Responsibilities Assess and prioritize patients with emergent conditions
Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care
Administer IV medications and perform phlebotomy
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in MEDITECH
Delegate and prioritize patient care activities
May function as Charge Nurse when required
Ensure safe patient handling and use of lifts
Support patient and family education
Current New York State RN License
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
BLS and ACLS required
PALS required (or obtain within 6 months)
MEDITECH experience required
Travel experience required
IV medication and phlebotomy certification during orientation
Must pass lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation
Defibrillation certification within 6 months of hire
Critical care and charge experience preferred
Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments
