The purpose of this role is to lead and coordinate the operational and day-to-day management of accounting and reporting activities within the Finance Accounting and Reporting team. This includes ensuring accurate month-end close and managing financial accounting and reporting. The role involves analysing reviewing and approving team outputs implementing changes and policies while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

o Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to support business operations.

o Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives in financial accounting and reporting processes.

o Manage day-to-day delivery of team services to meet specific needs of the organisation.

o Provide technical expertise and guidance on financial matters.

o Maintain compliance with policies procedures and regulations.

o Provide financial management leadership in areas such as tax financial reporting and treasury management to the finance team.

o Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for the organisation and for the regulator.

o Support the development and maintenance of financial systems and procedures.

Work Experience:

o Work experience in Insurance accounting.

o Significant financial control and reporting experience in a relevant role post qualification

o People management financial services and/or accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility.

o Experience in managing a team working with the regional team leading and supporting continuous improvement of dynamic reporting processes.

o Prior experience in review or preparation of insurance financial accounts compliance with accounting and regulatory reporting requirements

Qualifications:

o Tertiary qualifications or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
