About the Role

As a Support Worker youll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and young individuals by providing tailored person-centred support. Whether its daily living assistance emotional guidance or community engagement your work will help create a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build meaningful connections with youth through mentorship and guidance.
  • Develop and implement engaging programs that foster personal growth.
  • Provide emotional support and a listening ear to help young people navigate challenges.
  • Collaborate with the team to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Utilise your personal experience to inspire and connect with young individuals.
  • Support and encourage children and young people with Dual Diagnosis including Trauma based behaviour to feel safe and secure to build trusting relationships/connections.

What Youll Need Disability Home & Living

  • Experience in disability aged care or family/community services
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Valid Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle
  • NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication empathy and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including days sleep overs weekends & public holidays

What youll need Childrens Services

  • Passionate about human rights and creating positive change
  • Empathetic compassionate and resilient
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Certificate IV in Disability or Child Youth & Family Intervention (or willingness to obtain) clickhereto view more details
