A friendly and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Harrow is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their support team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting children with special educational needs to thrive both academically and emotionally.
The successful candidate will work closely with pupils across EYFS and Key Stage 1 supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) speech and language needs learning difficulties and SEMH needs. Support will include a mix of 1:1 support and small group interventions tailored to individual learning plans and EHCP targets.

Provide tailored SEN support to pupils with additional needs
Work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo
Support pupils with communication emotional regulation and engagement
Assist with differentiated learning activities and resources
Promote positive behaviour and social interaction
Support pupils during transitions playtimes and structured routines
Contribute to SEN reviews progress tracking and observations
Build positive relationships with pupils staff and parents
Has experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting
Is patient empathetic and emotionally resilient
Has a calm and consistent approach to behaviour support
Understands the importance of structure routine and clear expectations
Works well as part of a team and follows professional guidance
Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
Experience in education childcare psychology youth work or care settings is highly desirable though training will be provided for the right candidate.
