The school is undergoing planned expansion and investment in new facilities making this an exciting time to join as School Business Manager. The SLT is forward-thinking and values the input of operational leaders in shaping the schools future direction.
The School Business Manager will lead and manage all non-teaching operations including finance HR premises health and safety and administrative functions. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective use of resources compliance with statutory requirements and smooth daily operations across the school.
Key duties include strategic financial planning budget oversight recruitment coordination contract and procurement management overseeing site services ensuring health and safety compliance and line-managing administrative and support staff.
The role requires excellent leadership communication and organisational skills as well as the ability to contribute to long-term school planning and work collaboratively with senior leaders.
Experience as a School Business Manager or similar operational leadership role
Strong knowledge of finance HR and resource management
Understanding of safeguarding health and safety and compliance requirements
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
A recognised SBM qualification (e.g. CSBM/DSBM) desirable
