The Office Paraeducator will assist teachers and other professional practitioners by providing administrative support to further enhance the efficiency and productivity of educational environments.
Essential Job Functions:
- Greets incoming personnel to include the check-in/out procedures of students parents and other visitors.
- Performs routine clerical duties such as copying typing answering/making telephone calls taking attendance ordering supplies and basic troubleshooting.
- Generates reports on student attendance creates letters to parents regarding student absences.
- Creates and maintains the student attendance database and student records.
- Prepares homework requests per student absences.
- Sorts and distributes all interoffice/postal mail as necessary.
- Works in areas other than the classroom i.e. computer lab or library as appropriate
- Performs additional non-instructional duties including but not limited to cafeteria duty bus duty hall duty and office duty as assigned by the principal or designee
- Requests transportation for students as needed.

- High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of two (2) years working with children within an instructional educational or related setting
