Position Summary
The Account Executive is responsible for driving census growth and building strong referral relationships for Valeo Home Health and Hospice within an assigned territory. This role focuses on educating the community about our services cultivating partnerships with physicians hospitals SNFs and other healthcare providers and ensuring seamless communication between referral sources and clinical operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with proven healthcare sales experience strong relationship-building skills and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care through mission-driven growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Implement targeted sales and marketing plans to achieve monthly and quarterly admission goals.
- Use CRM tools (e.g. Trella Healths Marketscape) to analyze referral patterns identify high-potential accounts and track activity.
- Expand referral networks through proactive outreach to hospitals SNFs physicians and community partners.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
Relationship Management
- Establish maintain and develop strong relationships with referral sources and community stakeholders.
- Serve as a liaison between referral sources and clinical teams to ensure smooth transitions and high satisfaction.
- Represent Valeo at community events professional associations and networking opportunities.
Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of key accounts referral trends and sales activity in CRM.
- Ensure all marketing and sales activities comply with federal and state regulations including Anti-Kickback and Stark Law.
- Collaborate with compliance and leadership teams to uphold ethical practices.
Administrative & Team Collaboration
- Complete administrative duties including timely reporting of progress and barriers to growth.
- Participate in short- and long-range planning for agency growth initiatives.
- Partner with managers and HR for timely communication and alignment on operational needs.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Healthcare Administration or related field preferred (High School diploma required).
- Minimum 2 years of healthcare sales experience; home health or hospice strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (Trella Healths Marketscape or similar) highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and apply entrepreneurial effort to maximize territory potential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Ability to travel within assigned territory up to 75%.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit stand and drive for extended periods.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Regular use of phone computer and presentation tools.
