The Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting activities across the organization. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records supporting month-end close processing transactions and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts including general ledger postings.
- Prepare and support Trial Balance (TB) and basic financial reports.
- Process invoices bills and payments ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Support expense tracking and cost allocations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
- Support audit processes by preparing schedules and responding to queries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proper accounting documentation and filing.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related discipline.
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA ACCA) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience preferably within the financial services or Asset management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and international standards.
- Proficient in the use of Accounting software ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables VLOOKUP etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
