Associate Product Manager NxStage Medical Inc. a Fresenius Medical Care N.A. company Lawrence Massachusetts
Responsible for applying biomedical engineering knowledge to provide marketing and operational support to Fresenius Home Hemodialysis and product initiatives. Will be responsible for supporting the definition and execution of product initiatives from concept through commercial launch as well as supporting the stage gate process with Research and Development by applying human factors engineering principles to optimize usability cost quality safety and performance. Specific duties include:
- Represent product management in the product development process by assessing analyzing and asserting our patient customer and internal needs.
- Identify new product opportunities and drive alignment across the organization.
- Provide planning and project management support for medical device product launches.
- Assist in the development and execution of promotional programs and related activities.
- Assist in the development of marketing and training plans and activities for Fresenius Home Hemodialysis products and solutions.
- Execute marketing projects such as customer contacts to collect feedback support of marketing research projects customer and field communications as well as development of analytics to support decision making.
- Manage the document control process for product labeling and downstream marketing collateral.
- Manage project scope and change with the ability to understand and communicate impacts to project requirements timelines etc.
- Interface and establish relationships with patient customers and key influencers to ensure that marketing decisions are customer-driven and incorporate human factors requirements.
- Acts as product line and therapy subject-matter expert.
Requirements:
Position requires either (i) Bachelors degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Biomedical Engineering or Bioengineering and 2 years of experience as a Product Manager in a medical device field or (ii) Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering or Bioengineering. Must also have had experience (which can include academic coursework project or internship experience) with the following:
- Product management for medical devices including participation in the product lifecycle from concept to commercial launch;
- Conducting market research competitor analysis and building business cases for medical devices;
- Performing user-centered design of medical devices including translating user needs into design requirements and developing software applications to improve knowledge retention and reduce training time of healthcare professionals;
- Working on the FDA approval strategy pre-submission process and compilation of a pre-submission documentation;
- Using computational (Excel MATLAB Python) and simulation tools (SolidWorks and PTC Creo) to analyze data and inform product decisions
This is a hybrid position working 2 days/week at the office in Lawrence MA and 3 days/week at a home office.
