Job Summary

The Department of the Geophysical Sciences at the University of Chicago invites applications for tenured faculty positions at the rank of Associate Professor. The search is open to any area within the field of Earth and planetary sciences and related interdisciplinary research including research programs that would complement or expand the departments strengths in geochemistry/cosmochemistry geophysics planetary evolution or those whose work is aligned with the efforts of the UniversitysCenter for the Origins of Life. We seek individuals who will lead world-class research programs and enhance the intellectual endeavors of the department and the university. Completion of all requirements for the PhD in geophysical sciences or a related field prior to appointment is required. Additionally appointments require evidence of leadership in the field and successful independent research record.
