Job Summary
Wootton Vale Healthy Living Centre has an excellent opportunity for a practice administrator to join our busy support team on a part-time basis. The position is for 27.5 hours per week Monday to Friday working a mixture of 7.45am-1.15pm or 1pm-6.30pm across our two sites.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Provide full administrative support within the surgery working across a range of departments undertaking a range of administrative duties.
- Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors either in person or via the telephone.
- Receive assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous efficient and effective way.
- Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team.
- Facilitate effective communication between patients members the primary health care team secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.

About the Candidate
If you are a well organised person who thrives in a busy working environment where no two days are the same wed love to hear from you.Ideally candidates will have worked in a GP practice usingTPP SystmOne or another GP clinical system.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Adaptable and friendly with strong administration time management and organisational skills.
- An excellent communicator able to work in a confidential and discreet manner.
- Able to think on theirfeet in a busy working environment.
- Able to multi-task work hard and maintain a high level of attention to detail when under pressure.
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team as well as comfortable working independently.
Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
