As a Lead Data Engineer you will set the technical direction for a mission-critical data function. You will lead a squad of engineers to build scalable data products that empower lending and analytics teams. This role balances strategic architecture with hands-on development to drive technical excellence across a modern data ecosystem.

What you will do

Lead a squad of 46 engineers and mentor them to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous growth.
Design and implement robust data pipelines and models using a modern stack including DBT BigQuery and Airflow.
Collaborate with stakeholders and product managers to translate complex business priorities into reliable self-serve data products.

The ideal candidate

Has 7 years of data or backend engineering experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or decision-making role.
Is deeply experienced with modern data infrastructure including GCP/AWS DBT BigQuery and Terraform.
Values simplicity and automation while bringing strong software engineering foundations in Python SQL and DevOps practices.
