Job Summary

Chinese Interpreter (Contract)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chinese Interpreter to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both Chinese and English with a proven ability to facilitate clear and accurate communication in a professional setting. This role is crucial for supporting our operations within the steel industry in Jamshedpur Jharkhand.

Responsibilities:

Provide real-time interpretation services between Chinese and English speakers during meetings production processes and other business interactions.
Ensure accurate and nuanced translation of technical terminology specific to the steel industry.
Facilitate effective communication between local teams and Chinese stakeholders to ensure project alignment and smooth operations.
Assist in bridging cultural gaps and ensuring mutual understanding in diverse work environments.
Contribute to the seamless flow of information upholding the professional standards of our organization.
Translate documents and other written materials as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a Chinese Interpreter.
Maximum of 15 years of professional experience as a Chinese Interpreter.
Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese and English.
Experience as a translator with a focus on production environments.
Familiarity with the steel industry and its technical language is highly advantageous.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Any relevant certification or degree in translation interpretation or a related field is acceptable.
