Key Responsibilities
1. Marketplace Revenue Accounting
Record and reconcile marketplace sales commissions discounts and incentives
Ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with agreed commercials
Handle accounting for returns cancellations refunds and credit notes
Reconcile order-wise revenue vs settlements received from marketplaces
2. Collection & Settlement Reconciliation
Perform daily/weekly reconciliation of marketplace collections with bank credits
Identify and resolve short/excess settlements deductions penalties and chargebacks
Coordinate with marketplace support teams for settlement disputes
Maintain settlement trackers and ageing reports
3. TCS (Tax Collected at Source) Marketplace
Track TCS deducted by marketplaces
Reconcile TCS as per Form 26Q / 26QB / 26AS / AIS
Ensure proper booking and adjustment of TCS in books
Support TCS reporting and compliance under Income-tax Act
4. GST & Compliance Support
Support GST reconciliation between sales GSTR-1 GSTR-3B and marketplace reports
Assist in handling GST on commissions TCS under GST (Section 52) if applicable
Coordinate during statutory internal and tax audits
5. Accounting & Reporting
Maintain books of accounts in Tally (Prime/ERP)
Pass accounting entries for revenue collections deductions and adjustments
Prepare monthly MIS related to revenue receivables and collections
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
Skills & Competencies
Mandatory Skills:
Marketplace accounting experience (Amazon Flipkart Meesho B2B platforms etc.)
Strong knowledge of revenue accounting & settlement reconciliation
TCS accounting knowledge (Income-tax)
Hands-on experience with Tally
Good understanding of GST basics
Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP Pivot Reconciliation)
Preferred Skills:
Experience in B2B e-commerce / marketplace model
Exposure to high-volume transaction environments
Ability to handle multiple reconciliations simultaneously
