About the role:
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead the expansion of our independent hotel portfolio on our portal. The role demands complete end-to-end ownership of the hotel lifecycle blending aggressive hunting to contract high-value partners with strategic farming to scale existing relationships. As the primary growth driver you will act as a consultant to hoteliers leveraging data-backed insights and market intelligence to optimize performance while holding full P&L responsibility for your territory.

You will be responsible for the entire journeyfrom the initial handshake and contract signing to ensuring seamless go-live content and sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Prospecting & Hunting
Market Mapping: Identify and onboard key independent premium hotel partners across the assigned markets.
Contracting: Lead end-to-end negotiations for commercial terms ensuring favorable margins and inventory parity.
Field Execution: Maintain a strong on-the-ground presence to build a high-potential pipeline from boutique stays to luxury chains.
2. Account Management & Farming
Strategic Consulting: Manage a portfolio of live hotels acting as their primary point of contact and performance advisor.
Deal Sourcing: Proactively negotiate Flash Sales exclusive discounts and value-added services (e.g. free breakfast room upgrades) for ixigo users.
Performance Analytics: Analyze production data (room nights revenue) and conduct regular business reviews to drive growth.
3. Operational Excellence
Onboarding: Ensure seamless go-live processes and maintain high content quality (photos/descriptions) on the ixigo app.
Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of competitor pricing and inventory strategies to ensure ixigo remains the preferred platform for travelers.
Strategic Partnerships: Form and manage long-term alliances with both large-scale and small-scale hotel accounts.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: 6-7 years of proven experience in Hotel Contracting Business Development or OTA (Online Travel Agency) supply management.
Domain Expertise: Deep-rooted understanding of the hotel industry with established relationships with local hoteliers.
Negotiation Skills: A master negotiator who can successfully onboard partners and retain them through value-driven relationships.
Mindset: A unique blend of analytical thinking (to track ROI/P&L) and street-smart execution (to close deals in the field).
Travel: High mobility is a must; this is a field role requiring daily travel within the assigned region.
Education: Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Business Management or Hospitality is preferred.
