About the Role:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliableQuality Control Assistant to join our dynamic and diverse QA Team to support our Production facility at Morningside in maintaining high product quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring production process through routine visual inspection of the products
Conduct and record Scale calibration checks Metal checks Gas analyzer checks Air temperature checks Thermometer verification checks Label checks Product assessment etc.
Record all findings file daily records systematically for traceability and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.
Complete Black Bag (foreign body) audits.
Ensure Factory compliance to GMP.
Working closely with production to ensure delivery of high-quality products.
Conduct pre-operational and post operational checks.
Any other duties necessary to ensure the responsibilities of the role are executed.

About You:

HACCP or Food Safety Training
Previous experience in a similar role
Previous Experience in the food industry such as seafood meat or poultry or in food safety inspection will be highly regarded.
Good Communication Skills
Sound understanding of WHS protocols.
Ability to work well in a team environment in cold temperatures.
High standards of accuracy and precision
Results oriented approach High attention to detail self-motivated focused and reliable.
High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
