Job Summary
We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Catering Assistant within our Canberra Operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provide catering services including Barista Waiter service food preparation plating service and handling
- Managing the servicing of all staff kitchen areas including supplies and cleaning
- Monitor all catering stock levels and arrange for ordering
- Review manage and maintain the EMS Meeting and Room Scheduling Software in coordination with Reception
- Set up configure clear and clean kitchens client meeting rooms conference rooms lunches functions and events
- Kitchenhand duties including food prep plating and dishes
- Ensure all catering equipment is appropriately maintained and serviced
- Where necessary out of hours work may be required to support events and functions
What Were Looking For
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Basic knife skills and knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- A preference for 1-2 years experience in the hospitality industry.
