Summary


Oversee all aspects of the Food & Beverage operations located at Loveland Ski Areas (Basin and Valley) maximizing sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement. Deliver quality food and beverage and a positive dining experience for guests and Loveland employees. Operations currently include the Loveland Grill Wedge Bar Loveland Deli & Coffee Shop and the Rathskeller Bar all located in the Loveland Basin Lodge; an outdoor BBQ on weekends/holidays located on the deck in front of the Basin Lodge; Ptarmigan Roost Café located at the top of Ptarmigan Lift; and the Loveland Valley Cafeteria and Fireside Bar located in the Loveland Valley Base Area. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees with safety and fun as our top priorities.


Essential Functions

  • Ensure work-place safety through proper training and policy/procedure adherence. Create and foster an environment where safety is a priority and all team members are comfortable and willing to raise questions and concerns related to safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety health and liquor regulations and all applicable laws and company policies through training and auditing practices.
  • Develop and ensure compliance with accounting and cash handling procedures
  • Manage all aspects of the F&B team member experience including hiring onboarding training performance management appreciation/recognition and offboarding of team members
  • Oversee all menu planning and costing forecasting purchasing preparation presentation and inventory management for all food & drink products. Responsible for ensuring appropriate cost of sales net margin and revenue per skier visit.
  • Organize implement and maintain programs/procedures to ensure smooth daily operations of all outlets
  • Strategically plan for improvements to operations in season and from season to season.
  • Respond to and resolve guest questions concerns and complaints.
  • Provide summer catering for events (weddings groups etc.) at the Valley Base Area including promotion tastings and delivery of elevated culinary experiences.
Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Education from an accredited culinary or Food & Beverage management training program or equivalent work experience
  • Five or more years in upper-level Food & Beverage management or equivalent education
  • Five or more years of experience supervising others preferably overseeing multiple teams with direct responsibility for leadership positions
  • Possession of (or ability to obtain) a valid Colorado Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.
  • ServSafe and TIPS certifications preferred
  • Familiar with Point-of-Sale retail software systems. Ability to successfully use Microsoft Office products (Excel Word Outlook Powerpoint)
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English - speak and understand verbal and written communications
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays year-round and early morning shifts during the Winter Season
  • Intermediate level or above skier/snowboarder preferred

  • Interpersonal negotiation de-escalation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to self-motivate and self-direct to set and achieve goals
  • A passion for continuously improving safety and the guest and employee experiences
