JOB DESCRIPTION
Risk Management is a key Corporate Function supporting thefront-linebusinesses within TD with over 1800 employees in offices in Canada United StatesUKand Singapore. We partner internally with many different areas of TD as well as our business partners to ensure we exceed our clients expectations and employees to focus ona positiveemployee experience. We work externally with regulators to align with industry standards and benchmark ourselves against best practices.
TD Securities Operational Risk Management (TDSORM) is a second line ofdefencefunction providing operational risk management oversight and challenge to TD Securities businesses and support functions.
TDSORMs mandate is to independently guide and challenge the business implementation of and ongoing compliance with the TDBG ORM Framework. The team is also responsible forprovidinga broad range of risk management counsel risk analyses reporting and support to business partners and senior management on a wide range of risk-related matters across a broad range of risk types.
TDSORM works in close partnership with the TD Securities businesses to understand their strategy and support their growth while at the same time ensuring that theappropriate riskand control framework is in place to adhere to and respect risk appetite
As a student part of the TD Risk ManagementCo-opprogramyou will have the opportunity to join different development workshops seminars and lunch andlearns.We will provideyouthe necessary toolsresourcesand guidance to achieve both business and personal goals.
JOBREQUIREMENTS
What You Bring to TD
Currently enrolled in anundergraduate degreemajoring inBusinessStatistics Mathematics Financial AnalysisRisk ManagementComputerScienceorequivalent
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at of the start of your work term
Familiarity with SAS
Relational database SQL skills for data miningextractionand statistical analysis.
Strong excelAdvanced MS Excel and MS Access for data analysis (Pivot Filter FormulasVlookup VBA)
Data Analytics and Reporting
Dealing with ambiguity
Dedicated detail oriented and an ability to propose creative solutions
Written & verbal communication skills

Quick learner
High degree of personal initiative
Skills that are not butconsideredanasset:
Knowledge of Financial Industry/Risk Management/Retail Credit products
