Global Transaction Banking (GTB) offers comprehensive business banking solutions on a global basis to small business commercial and corporate clients of the Bank. The Business Payments Product team is responsible for enhancing the customer experience for payment products while maximizing revenue.Support in providing and executing the appropriate trade & working capital solution for clients. Contribute to the overall success of the Treasury Management Office (TMO)inensuring specific client pitches plans initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the overall business strategies and objectives. Ensure that all activities conducted follow governing regulations internal policies and procedures.

  • Work closely withDirector& Headand Associate DirectorTrade & Working CapitalSolutions SpecialistandTMOandact as a subject matter expert

  • Champion aclientfocused culture todevelop the mostappropriate solutionthat enhances the overallclient relationship andleverageinternal and external stakeholderrelationshipssystemsand knowledge. (e.g.legal Fintech provider GWO)

  • In collaborationwith the TMODirector & Head and Associate Director Trade & Working Capital Solutions responsible for providingsolutionstoclients

  • Contribute to the clients and GTBbusiness goals byproviding the right solution thatretainsand increasesthe overall profitability of theclient relationshipwhilemaintainingan acceptable level of risk

  • In close collaboration withthe TMO andGBMRMidentifymarket trends that could drivenew opportunities prepare and deliver client pitches structure andanalyze new transactions

  • In close collaborationwith TMO and GBM RM grow and expand existing programs and handle customer requests fornew issuances of Trade and Working Capital instrumentsamendments of existing creditfacilitiescomplete risk assessments and prepare credit presentations/recommendations

  • ReviewTrade & Working CapitalProduct terms and credit/legal documentation in conjunction with internal and external LegalCounsel culminating in the closing of transactions

  • Lead end-to-endproductonboarding of new clients by coordinating with internal partners (TMOCorporate Banking GRMExecution OperationsGBM Onboarding).

  • Identifyand provide risk mitigation strategiessuch thatthe risk ofanyTrade & Working Capital Solutionis within theBanks risk appetite andourrisk culture

  • Pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areasin accordance withScotiabanks Values its Code of Conduct and the while ensuring the adequacyadherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect tooperational compliance AML/ATF/sanctionsand conduct risk.

  • Relevant corporate banking experience
  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education experience and industry knowledge.
  • Proven negotiation active listening analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Concern and regard for managing operational and enterprise risk.
  • Experience in credit analysis risk assessment and structuring is essential
  • Experience in contact negotiations with both clients and legal counsel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
