Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Technician you will have the responsibility to assembly debugging test and repair electro/mechanical sub-assemblies major assemblies full systems and auxiliary equipment to build Unmanned Underwater Vehicles in support of new production. This position requires sufficient knowledge of debug and repair operations to perform rework at the board subsystems and full system level for both hardware and software systems. Interfacing internal customers to resolve issues/problems with mechanical electrical and software products is required.
Essential Functions:
Perform complex operations of assembly and test on a variety of production developmental and customer systems.
Perform assembly and test operations through all stages of the manufacturing lifecycle.
Perform operations to diagnose debug and repair mechanical and electrical systems and sub-assemblies.
Ability to read and understand diagnostic data technical schematics and drawings to support build diagnose debug and test of assemblies and systems.
Install software including proprietary device drivers Operating Systems and Firmware in preparation for production testing.
Provide detailed feedback on manufacturability issues to the Manufacturing and Engineering staff.
Ability to rework complex assemblies sub-assemblies and wiring harnesses. Must have excellent solder and cable wiring skills.
Ability to set up and use test equipment including oscilloscopes multi meters and other electronic test equipment.
Help improve develop and document workflows manufacturing procedures manufacturing jigs and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiencies.
Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision.
Lifts moves or manipulates heavy parts and assemblies ranging to 50 lbs.
