Job Responsibilities:
The Director of Rehabilitation Therapy Services is responsible for the efficient planning directing and the evaluation of rehabilitation services for JHBMC. Working under the leadership of the PMR Dept Director and Administrator and the Vice President of Clinical and Support Services at JHBMC The Director ensures that the programs and services within his/her responsibility maintain the highest standards of clinical quality while operating in a fiscally sound manner that is also responsive to environmental needs and constraints. Manages the overall clinical and administrative activities of the following therapy services inpatient consults and outpatient clinics including the development and implementation of new PT/OT/SLP programs. Directs the activities of all clinical and non-clinical subordinate staff. Represents PM&R interests relevant to all therapy clinical units and ancillary departments. Works collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient and team outcomes. Promotes improvement in service department and hospital systems to benefit patient care. Incorporates and operationalizes the goals and objectives of the Hospital at the site of care. Is responsible for the preparation implementation and management of the PT/OT/SLP budget - expense revenue and volume.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Clinical and Support Services at JHBMC and the Administrator and Director of the Department of PM&R.

Qualifications:
Work requires completion of a Bachelor of Science in rehabilitation specialty. Masters degree preferred. Minimum of seven years clinical experience. Minimum of five years experience in management position. Prior work experience to include progressive responsibility in both leadership and administrative responsibilities.
Current licensure as a PT OT or SLP by the Maryland State Board of Examiners required.
Salary Range: $140000 to $175000 per year. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
