We are seeking a dynamic results-driven nursing leader with a strong background in operations and management to work closely with the cardiac surgery multidisciplinary teams at JHH and partner with colleagues throughout the HVI. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver and strategic thinker with demonstrated success inprocess improvement patient throughput and staffing optimization. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on adult surgical care by supporting our teams in delivering the highest quality patient- and family-centered care. The Assistant Director of Nursing assists the Director of Nursing in the organization development and operation of the nursing department within a functional unit. As designated by the Director of Nursing assumes responsibility for clinical operations programs various nurses in leadership or advanced practice roles and/or professional support staff. The Assistant Director of Nursing participates in the functional unit the department of nursing and hospital programs and/or the absence of the Executive Director of Nursing the Assistant Director of Nursing assumes responsibility for nursing service within the functional unit.

   1. Masters Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
   2. RN license from the state of Maryland.
   3. Five years of clinical nursing experience with a least two years experience in nursing management; preferably in inpatient surgery. Cardiac Surgery experience is preferred.

   Salary Range: Minimum 62.12/hour - Maximum 96.28/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
