Job - Certified Nursing Assistant
Contract- 9week
Pay Rate- $21/hr - $23/hr
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various settings including long-term care assisted living hospitals and outpatient clinics. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse patient populations including those with complex medical needs such as dementia Alzheimers and behavioral health conditions. Prior experience with EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation is highly valued. The CNA will play a vital role in supporting patient comfort safety and well-being while adhering to all healthcare regulations and standards.
Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing dressing grooming and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
Monitor and record vital signs accurately using appropriate techniques and document findings in EMR/EHR systems.
Support medication administration under supervision ensuring proper handling and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide specialized care for patients with dementia Alzheimers memory care needs or behavioral health conditions.
Assist with catheter care wound care and aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection.
Support patients in rehabilitation settings including post-acute sub-acute or outpatient care environments.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care units such as ICU PICU or Level I/II trauma centers to deliver comprehensive patient support.
Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols and safety procedures at all times.
Educate patients and families on health management plans and discharge instructions as needed.
Ensure accurate medical records management and documentation of patient care activities.

Skills

Proven experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including ICU trauma centers) nursing homes assisted living facilities or home & community care environments.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for medical documentation.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to geriatrics pediatrics behavioral health infectious disease care and acute care procedures.
Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) and handle emergency situations effectively.
Experience working with special populations including patients with developmental disabilities or those requiring hospice or palliative care.
Competence in using assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts for patient mobility support.
Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care activities.
Excellent communication skills for working with patients of all ages and collaborating within healthcare teams.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and handle sensitive medical information responsibly.
