Job Title: Driver Class A CDL
Duration: 12 Months
Schedule & Hours
- Rotation: 15 days on / 6 days off
- Hours: Up to 14 hours/day (occasionally 16)
- Weekly Average: 70 80 hours
Job Overview
The Driver is responsible for safely operating multiple types of commercial vehicles while supporting field operations. This is a hands-on driving role that includes loading/unloading activities equipment assistance and inter-district deliveries.
Pay & Compensation
- Hourly Pay: $18.00 $21.00
- Bonuses Available:
- Air slide runs
- Silo moves (up to 2 3 bonuses per day)
- Hotshot deliveries
- Per Diem: $15/day
Reimbursable Expenses
- Coverall laundry ($20 per rotation)
- Checked baggage & airport parking
- Hazmat fingerprinting
- Business-related vehicle expenses (e.g. oil)
Key Responsibilities
- Operate:
- Tractor-trailer units
- Body load units
- 550 trucks with gooseneck trailers
- Hook up hoses operate air slide controls and strap loads
- Perform hotshot pallet deliveries of chemicals between districts
- Assist equipment operators when required
- Participate in physically demanding tasks (this is not a no-touch role)
Experience & Skills
- No minimum experience required
- Top Skills Needed:
- Willingness to learn
- Flexibility with schedules and tasks
- Strong time management and self-discipline
- Must be able to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Automatic-only restrictions are not acceptable
License & Certification Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Air Brakes endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Manual transmission capability required
- Hazmat endorsement preferred (not mandatory)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Travel & Work Conditions
- Travel required; housing and flights provided
- Local candidates preferred; local shuttle available
- Field/onshore heavy industrial environment
- Physically active safety-sensitive role
Training
- Company-provided certifications (NEST HVT QUEST)
- Site-specific and in-house safety training
- Ride-along/shadowing before solo driving
Physical Requirements
- Ability to strap loads connect hoses and operate trailers
- Must tolerate long hours and physical labor
