SAP BW Consultant

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced SAP BW Consultant specializing in the implementation ongoing operations and maintenance of SAP applications and technology. This role supports the internal SAP landscape of Deloitte Netherlands and involves a mix of operational support and project-based enhancements.

You will act as the primary point of contact for Reporting and Controlling key users translating business needs into effective reporting and analytics solutions while ensuring high system availability performance and user satisfaction.

Work Youll Do

SAP BW Support & Operations

• Be part of the SAP team responsible for the maintenance and support of Deloitte Netherlands internal SAP BW system.
  

• Provide day-to-day operational support to end users and resolve BW-related incidents and service requests.
  

• Take ownership of user-reported issues and proactively drive them through to resolution.
  

• Maintain and manage all BW-related tickets in the call logging/service management system.
  

• Ensure adherence to service management principles and SLAs while delivering a high level of customer service.
  

Business Engagement & Requirements Translation

• Act as the main contact for Reporting and Controlling key users.
  

• Understand analyze and document business requirements in a clear and structured manner.
  

• Translate user requests into functional and technical specifications.
  

• Propose design and implement reporting and analytics solutions that improve existing tools and processes.
  

• Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders and bridge the gap between business and IT.
  

SAP BW Development & Technical Activities

• Design develop configure and maintain SAP BW solutions at 7.0 release level.
  

• Work with BW technical concepts including:
  

  • Data replication from SAP ECC CRM and SRM
    

  • Load chains and data flow monitoring
    

  • Query development and optimization
    

• Use BW user interfaces such as SAP GUI BEx Analyzer BEx Browser and Web BEx.
  

• Debug BW-related programs and identify root causes of technical issues.
  

• Ensure data integrity performance and reliability of BW reporting solutions.
  

Security & Quality

• Understand and apply BI authorization concepts and user management principles.
  

• Ensure reporting solutions comply with security authorization and data governance standards.
  

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality accuracy and structured delivery.
  

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree or equivalent
  

• 710 years of relevant SAP BW experience
  

Must-Have Skills

• Proven hands-on experience implementing and supporting SAP BW at release 7.0
  

• Strong knowledge of BW technical concepts:
  

  • Data extraction/replication from ECC CRM and SRM
    

  • Load chains and monitoring
    

  • Query design and performance tuning
    

• Experience with BW front-end tools: SAP GUI BEx Analyzer BEx Browser Web BEx
  

• Ability to debug programs and perform root cause analysis
  

• Strong understanding of SAP processes preferably within:
  

  • Controlling departments
    

  • Service industry environments
    

• Good understanding of BI authorizations and user management
  

• Strong communication skills especially with non-technical business users
  

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery
  

Good-to-Have / Preferred Skills

• Experience or willingness to build skills in BW-related planning and reporting tools such as:
  

  • SAP BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence Dashboard Designer)
    

  • SAP BPC (NetWeaver Edition)
    

  • SAP HANA
    

• Exposure to budgeting planning and advanced analytics scenarios
