This role strengthens Prudential Hong Kongs health growth by enabling distribution success: building trusted relationships with agents serving as the first line for health underwriting enquiries and elevating agent capability through practical training on health selling techniques and underwriting tips. The role partners closely with Distribution Underwriting Claims Product and Operations to deliver consistent confident health sales and a smooth agent experience.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Distribution Engagement & Health Sales Enablement
Build and sustain trusted proactive relationships with agency leaders and key agents across channels; maintain a steady cadence (briefings roadshows) to surface field pain points quickly and strengthen confidence in selling health.
Produce clear practical selling aids and tools (objection handling scripts underwriting tips and FAQs).
Capture field insights and feed them back to product underwriting and operations to refine propositions underwriting guidance and case handling.
2. Health Underwriting Enquiry Handling & Case Escalation
Serve as the primary contact for agents health underwriting questions
Coach pre-underwriting and case packaging to ensure complete high-quality submissions reduce turnaround time and improve straight-through rates.
3. Health Training and Capability Building (with performance management)
- Build practical modules covering pre-underwriting preparation aligned to target segments
- Execute workshops webinars and small-group coaching clinics
- Track pre/post knowledge and tool adoption.
- Use distribution feedback and enquiry analytics to continuously refine content with Product Underwriting and Operations.
Job Requirements:
- Degree holder in healthcare administration business administration medicine/surgery or related fields.
- Proven experience with at least 10 years in the medical and health insurance business
- Strong knowledge of healthcare industry market trends insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of medical underwriting
- Fluent in English Cantonese and Mandarin both written and spoken
- Project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proactive and result driven
