Job Summary
WRSD is seeking a skilled ASL Speciailst to provide comprehensive language program for students who are deaf and hard of hearing. To implement individual educational plans within the schools curricular framework to subscribe to and support the schools DutiesAssess the language needs of each child and plan an appropriate language educational materials and be an active participant in the selection of said materials in conjunction with language instruction as determined by individualized educational programs. Participate in the writing of each childs educational plan and attend team written quarterly progress reports as each students American Sign Language development using formative assessments regularly. Participate as required in Willie Ross School meetings and serve on committees when requested by an in workshops and other in-service training sessions as scheduled during specified school effectively with the Classroom Teachers Speech-Language Pathologist Educational Audiologist and all related service with other teacher(s) or Instructional Assistant in a team and use technology as appropriate to enhance curricula. Maintain records and reports for each for short and long-term planning of daily lessons and activities and for providing written plans and schedules for substitute teachers.
