The culture is based on mutual respect integrity professionalism a commitment to excellence a collaborative spirit and a sense of human kindness particularly as it relates to age-appropriate adolescent Youll DoSalem Academy seeks an excellent special education paraprofessional who is committed to raising student achievement through the integration of rigorous college preparatory classes with service to the next Special Education Paraprofessional at SACS will be responsible for the following in addition to other duties as assigned by their manager:Working with and for Students:Supporting students in the classroom depending upon their IEPs and instructional needsImplementing consistent academic and behavioral procedures to ensure a structured respectful and achievement-oriented environment across classroomsMonitoring and analyzing student progress through standards-based assessmentsSupporting planning and/or co-leading Service-Learning projectsWorking with and for ColleaguesCollaborating with Special Education General Education and ELD teachers to support students with diverse learning needsBuilding and maintaining strong school culture centered on achievementTracking academic and behavioral dataParticipating in weekly professional development sessions (e.g. Curriculum Teams workshops)Participating in weekly Form Meetings (e.g. grade level teams)Who Your AreYou are a skilled educator.
