Job Summary
The Manager of Nursing Services will lead support and train the nursing department in collaboration
with programs statewide to ensure excellent client care. This is a hybrid position responsible for
traveling to all regions and treatment locations statewide and is required to be on site up to 3 days per
week.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty
satisfactorily. The essential functions include the following:
ï Manage and respond to the needs of the nursing department statewide.
ï Partner with talent acquisition to select and interview candidates for nursing positions
statewide.
ï Partner with treatment director and RN supervisor to train/onboard nurses.
ï Visit all MnTC treatment locations statewide to audit processes and provide ongoing training
development and education.
ï Consult with program leaders and RN supervisors regularly regarding client(s) physical and
mental health concerns to advise on solution recommendations as needed.
ï Partner with the director of nursing to consult with program leaders for feedback about nursing
department statewide.
ï Partner with the director of nursing to design and implement changes based on program
feedback.
ï Assess and implement initiatives to improve the quality of client care.
ï Ensure standardized processes in accordance with medical best-practices are implemented
statewide.
ï In partnership with the treatment director complete annual performance reviews for direct
reports in the nursing department statewide.
ï Manage performance on an ongoing basis including coaching and any correction action needed.
Partner and consult with the appropriate HR business partner throughout this process.
ï Fill in if a nurse is out to be available for the medical enhanced rate.
ï Document all nurse notes for health interactions with clients.
ï Help lead statewide nursing department staff meetings facilitate and lead productive
discussions implementing solutions as needed.
ï Meet weekly with RN supervisor and treatment director to ensure goal alignment and
integrated support.
ï Attend joint addiction services coordinator meetings with current addiction service providers to
collaborate on service delivery.
ï Assist the director of nursing as liaison with addiction service providers.
ï Assist the director of nursing with medical intake assessment for new clients.

Required Skills & Experience (Minimum Qualifications):
ï Registered Nursing license in the state of Minnesota within good standing (and must maintain).
ï At least 5 years of relevant nursing experience required.
ï Previous leadership or people management experience preferred.
ï Excellent written and verbal skills.
ï Must have the ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects with competing
deadlines and frequent interruptions reprioritizing workflow as needed.
ï Must have the flexibility to cover the responsibility of nurses when needed ensuring proper
coverage to meet program needs.
ï Strong leadership skills (one-on-one and group situations).
ï Excellent organizational skills.
ï Excellent computer skills including typing word processing spreadsheets and general familiarity
with database programs.
ï Must have the ability to travel throughout the state of Minnesota to all MnTC treatment
locations.
ï Possession of a valid drivers license and a clean driving record that will be accepted by this
organizations vehicle insurance carrier.
ï Must be comfortable working with people with life-controlling challenges including mental
health and addiction.
ï The ability to live and work by MnTCs culture of honor & core values practicing compassion

ï At least 1 year of freedom from problematic substances.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to
successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
ï Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
ï Prolonged periods of standing bending and reaching.
ï Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

Target Compensation (Negotiable based on qualifications):

$77000 to $80000 annual salary
