Head of Finance on the path to CFO

Join one of Europes most exciting deep-tech scale-ups at the intersection of DNA sequencing and AI.

At Single Technologies were not polishing yesterdays ideas - were flipping the script. Our groundbreaking 3D approach to DNA sequencing has disruptive potential and unlocks AIs potential to understand biology through massive datasets.

Recently we were selected by the European Innovation Council (EIC) to receive major funding in strong international competition.

We first tried hiring a ready-made CFO. Then we realized that what were building doesnt exist in a ready-made version either. So now were looking for someone who wants to grow into the role with us. Youll be part of the inner circle shaping our journey from pioneering R&D to global commercialization. To succeed we need someone whos ready to grow into the role of CFO as the company expands.

Youll own and develop the companys financial function currently consisting of our office manager and our accounting firm. The main focus in the beginning is to support and be the spider in the web of our fundraising team led by the CEO. Core tasks include financial analysis and modelling preparation of pitch decks and stakeholder and investor relations.

Key responsibilities

Continue building our finance function (budgeting reporting planning forecasting)
Support capital-raise processes and investor communications
Develop financial models and metrics for scale-up and investment readiness
Manage financial statements and ensure accuracy and compliance

Who you are

Youre analytical creative and driven with a strong entrepreneurial streak. Youre bold enough to what is needed to go from disruptive potential to commercial success. You may have started your career in investment banking management consulting or in a tech biotech or AI company.

Skills & Requirements

You likely have

Masters degree in economics
25 years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of financial analysis planning and investor logic
A structured yet creative mindset
Excellent communication skills in English
Direct or indirect experience from high-growth or complex industries (deep-tech med-tech AI or similar)
