Description

NAYA Family Center is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Donor Relations Manager to join our Development and Communications team. This role manages a portfolio of up to 75 donors implements donor stewardship strategies and supports the expansion of NAYAs donor base to advance fundraising goals and engage the community. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer you will help grow major gifts sustaining gifts and planned giving while fostering strong relationships with individual and corporate donors.

This is a full-time position between the working hours of 9am - 6pm Monday through Friday that may include evenings and occasional weekends as needed.


The annual salary for this position is $85000.


Who You Are:

  • You have 25 years of experience in resource development donor relations or fundraising ideally in nonprofit settings.
  • You have experience cultivating soliciting and stewarding donors including major gifts.
  • Ideally youre familiar with Native American history and understand the unique experiences and strengths of urban Native communities.
  • You are an effective communicator both written and verbal and can adapt messaging for a variety of audiences.
  • You are organized detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • You are proficient in fundraising CRMs (Raisers Edge) Microsoft Office web-based research and event management software (e.g. Greater Giving).
  • You thrive in a team-oriented workplace are adaptable and are willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in even when its not your job.
  • You demonstrate self-awareness listening deeply centering others and taking accountability for your actions.
  • You are consistently punctual reliable and dependable in support of your team and clients.
  • You possess strong communication skills engaging effectively with diverse groups and adapting to varied contexts.
  • Youre comfortable using databases Microsoft Office and email and youre open to learning new systems.
  • You possess a current Oregon or Washington drivers license and the ability to be insured under NAYAs liability insurance policy (i.e. no more than one major driving violation in the last three years).

What Youll Do:

  • Manage a portfolio of up to 75 donors and prospects implementing a prospecting strategy and meeting fundraising goals.
  • Expand NAYAs donor pipeline for individual major sustaining and planned giving gifts.
  • Execute donor stewardship activities including acknowledgements gift tracking and reporting.
  • Draft fundraising and outreach communications across letters emails website copy and printed materials.
  • Partner with the Events Manager to engage donors through fundraising and community events.
  • Serve on Board committees as needed supporting agendas records reports and materials.
  • Utilize Raisers Edge to track donor activity generate reports and analyze fundraising outcomes.
  • Actively participate in NAYA community events to strengthen donor relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Advancement Officer.
