Summary
As a Field Service Crane Technician you will be a vital team member responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues in heavy equipment specializing in crane operations. Your core diagnostic skills electrical knowledge and heavy equipment experience will be essential in maintaining inspecting and servicing cranes efficiently. This role offers a dynamic and challenging work environment where you can showcase your technical and mechanical expertise in crane maintenance inspection and repair.
Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect repair (including emergency repairs) upgrade/modify install wire start up and commission overhead cranes (all manufacturers and types).
Work in extreme environmental conditions (heat and cold).
Perform work at heights up to 135 feet using AWP/manlifts.
Troubleshoot electrical systems (electrical background is a plus).
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Maintain a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Required Skills and Abilities
Ability to travel up to 75% as needed.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Working knowledge of general electrical concepts.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Fabrication and rigging experience is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as a productive team member.
Basic proficiency in mathematics reading and writing.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
Must not have a fear of heights.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Manual dexterity required for crane inspection and repair including bending stooping crawling climbing and reaching.
Excellent hand-eye coordination.
Must wear required PPE including safety glasses gloves hearing protection and fall protection.
