Job Summary
The Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Specialist supports PROPWR on-site and field operations by ensuring compliance with company and regulatory HSE standards. This role is responsible for conducting inspections audits and safety observations; delivering training; and investigating incidents across PROPWR sites and facilities. The HSE Specialist collaborates with operational teams to promote a strong safety culture facilitates hazard identification and mitigation and ensures proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assists HSE Operations leadership with employee injury case management.
Responsibilities
- Perform compliance inspections (on-site and in the field) to ensure all relevant parties observe the organizations HSE programs policies procedures and applicable government regulations.
- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses and create Emergency Response Plans for all PROPWR site deployments
- Conduct new hire employee and HSE Representative PROPWR specific training for
- Respond to and investigate incidents
- Organize and participate in monthly PROPWR Safety Committee meetings
- Document and report all occurrences of noncompliance with the organizations HSE policies SOPs and government regulations
- Participate in job site-specific safety meetings
- Maintain regular safety related communication with organizational personnel
- Conduct the organizations Life Saving Rules Observations use stop work authority when necessary and perform immediate corrective action
- Attend all required compliance training and certification courses
- Safely drive a company vehicle day or night on various road types and in all weather conditions
- Ensure completion of routine maintenance for company vehicle
- Maintain compliance with Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions safety meetings and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Develop implement and maintain PROPWR HSE programs procedures and supporting documentation for safety culture initiatives
- Support leadership in safety specific discussions with both current and prospective customer partners
- Monitor analyze and update safety specific KPIs for internal and external reporting
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning with respect to safety
- Collaborate with customer partner safety peers to educate collaborate and establish new or best safety practices
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience as an HSE Representative or equivalent role for oilfield operations or power generation required
- Certified Safety Health Officer (CSHO) certification or equivalent
- Maintaining a current valid drivers license and a clean driving record required
- English speaker required
- Willing to frequently travel throughout the Permian and Delaware Basins (West Texas and New Mexico)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills able to effectively interact with contractors vendors and personnel at all levels of the organization
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills; comfortable presenting information to upper management and Executive leadership
- In-depth knowledge of NFPA70E OSHA 1910 and 1926 and NESC
- Skilled in developing and auditing LOTO energized work and electrical PPE programs
- Ability to interpret single-line diagrams arch flash studies and electrical schematics
- Familiarity with BESS
- Ability to exercise independent judgment professionalism and discretion while performing duties
- Good organization and time management skills able to prioritize workload
- Must be driven self-motivated and possess a strong work ethic
- Flexible able to easily adjust to changing HSE program requirements organizational policies and dynamic field conditions
- Proficient working in Microsoft 365 applications and able to quickly learn other work-related software
- Able to safely perform duties and a 12 hour work shift that will include days nights weekends or holidays
- Able to safely operate a vehicle day or night on various terrains or road conditions and in all weather conditions
