Rebate Management Specialist

Location/Division Specific Information

Based in the vibrant city of Bangalore Karnataka India our team is part of Thermo Fisher Scientifics global network.

Ensure rebate/VSP programs are configured correctly claims are processed accurately and on time and accruals reconcile with actuals minimizing margin leakage while enabling sales wins.

A day in the Life

  • Request Intake & Requirements: Manage intake of rebate requests; gather commercial rationale scope and supporting data to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Agreement Drafting & Approvals: Draft Vendor Support Agreements using approved templates. Coordinate cross-functional approvals with Sales Pricing Finance and Legal.
  • System Configuration: Set up and maintain program parameters (rates tiers eligibility caps floors stacking) in the rebate management tool.
  • Accrual Enablement: Partner with Finance to define accrual logic and timing. Monitor accrual postings investigate variances and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Claim Processing: Load monthly claim files and run automated validations. Investigate exceptions and prepare settlement statements credit memos or AP requests.
  • Reconciliation & Reporting: Perform month-end reconciliations and variance analysis. Deliver dashboards and insights on key performance metrics including denials and leakage drivers.
  • Controls & Compliance: Maintain complete audit trails and ensure compliance with rebate floor policies. Support internal and external audits as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Standardize templates and enhance automation opportunities. Maintain SOPs and support training for new processes or tools.

Education

Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Data Analytics or related field.

Experience

4 years in pricing rebates channel finance.

Knowledge Skills Abilities

  • Strong Excel (pivot vlookup/xlookup sumifs Power Query); SQL a plus.
  • Experience with ERP (E1 SAP Oracle CPQ Salesforce) and a rebate platform is highly valued.
  • Working understanding of price waterfalls accrual accounting and controls (SOX).
  • Detail orientation analytical rigor collaborator management clear communication.

This role is primarily office-based with a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
