Job Summary
Santa FE Mazda is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our team in Santa Fe NM. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive controller duties with hands-on experience inDealertrack systems. This role is pivotal in managing our financial operations ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting departmental efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger accounts payable/receivable payroll and financial reporting
- Utilize Dealertrack software to manage dealership financial processes and reporting
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP internal controls and dealership policies
- Coordinate with external auditors and handle tax filings
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with dealership management to develop budgets and forecasts
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive controller or in a similar financial management role
- Proficiency with Dealertrack and other dealership management software
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
