Position Overview

The Controller is a fully on-site operational finance leader responsible for end-to-end accounting financial reporting FP&A and internal controls at the mine site. This is a newly created role with strong visibility and ownership partnering closely with site leadership and corporate finance.

A critical component of this role is ERP selection and implementation in a complex mining/manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead site accounting financial reporting and month-end close
Own FP&A: budgeting forecasting variance analysis (P&L balance sheet cash flow)
Cost accounting inventory cycle counts and capital project tracking
Fixed asset capitalization and depreciation
Support internal & external audits; manage SOX/internal controls
Prepare financial statements and regulatory/compliance reporting
Lead ERP system evaluation selection and implementation
Partner cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

5 years as a financial leader in mining industrial or manufacturing environments
Strong experience with Excel (advanced) and QuickBooks
Proven ERP implementation experience in complex operations
FP&A cost accounting and capital project accounting expertise
Knowledge of IFRS & U.S. GAAP SOX/internal controls tax & transfer pricing
Authorized to work in the U.S. and work on-site in New York
