The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Office of Inspector General.
The Program Support Officer provides program coordination and direct assistance to the Program Support & Improvement (PSI) Section Supervisor Inspector General and Division Bureau Chiefs. The incumbent organizes tracks and monitors the nonprofit hospital community benefit reporting and database; takes the primary role in the Montana radiation program particularly radiation machine registration and assisting with mammography inspector communications and federal mammography facility inspection contract; provides database development maintenance and troubleshooting for the Office of Inspector General (OIG) database programs; assists with other PSI Section activities including but not limited to ensuring ADA compliance and OIG website maintenance updating annual healthcare facility reports and assisting with division administrative duties.
Responsibilities include assisting with implementation of new projects policy updates and procedure changes creating and maintaining complex spreadsheets and reports tracking legislation affecting OIG and working on special projects assigned. The position provides technical and research support for the OIG management team on specific health care issues as needed. Research performed includes the continuous review and assimilation of health care industry trends laws and other issues affecting Montana healthcare planning. The position is responsible for assisting with the design and utilization of appropriate survey tools to assess the status of Montana healthcare services and facilities and the design use and maintenance of healthcare databases. This position provides advice and technical assistance to department management as well as other state and local leadership on OIG program processes.
