Job Summary

Job Title - Engg. Executive Maintenance

Job Purpose

The job holder is accountable for effectively managing engineering maintenance activities in Tablet manufacturing and packing department to ensure delivery of products at an optimal cost as per agreed upon business requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • The key responsibility is to ensure smooth functioning of maintenance activities in the tablet Manufacturing & Packing Real time issue identification and resolution involving staff including running of GSK Problem solving process with staff and necessary Support Functions line side. Ensure timely entry of maintenance data generated into Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). Working with the team to continuously improve the capability of both the individuals and the overall team to increase their performance towards targets.
  • Process confirmations against the 4Ms Machine Manpower Method Measurement.
  • Required to manage safety quality compliance and delivery. Ensure strict adherence to zero access and safe machine guarding procedures LOTO and permit to work (PTW) as per GSK GES EHS guidelines.
  • Conduct self internal audit (L1 & L2) and other inspections as per audit schedule in the area of accountability and track timely closure of actions.
  • Current state analysis and TOP 3 issues identified with aligned target conditions/actions using Lead and Lag measures to track and improve.
  • Ensuring that the appropriate Deviation procedure and problem-solving processes are used to avoid reoccurrence of issues.
  • Risk Management - Ensure that all risks for department are identified assessed and mitigated in accordance with risk management principles.
  • Requires detailed resource (including spares) planning including job allocation and co-ordination with production & other departments including procurement Quality EHS.
  • Required to identify improvement opportunities in the area to reduce waste and improve availability & overall equipment efficiency.
  • Requires preparation of maintenance plan in adherence to standards.
  • Lead RCA and develop CAPA. Requires to co-ordinate with cross functional team for proper identification of root cause and preparation of CAPA.

Knowledge/ Education / Experience Required

Educational Background

Minimum Level of Education - B.E / Diploma in mechanical/Chemical/Electrical/Production Engineering

Area of Specialisation - Engineering Maintenance

Why is this Level of Education Required - Technical authority for specialized topics and to meet GSKs mandated requirements

Preferred Level of Education -B.E / with MBA in Production Engineering

Area of Specialisation - Engineering Maintenance

Job-Related Experience

Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience required - 5 yrs of working experience in a Pharmaceutical/FMCG environment.

Other Job-Related Skills/Background

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels and across functions.
