his on-site contract position provides a unique opportunity to deliver essential healthcare services to children in our community ensuring their health and well-being.
As a Locum Pediatrician you will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical care conducting assessments and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments of pediatric patients
- Diagnose and treat a variety of pediatric conditions and illnesses
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare teams
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding health concerns
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in on-call duties as required
- Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention
- Stay current with developments in pediatric medicine and best practices
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Current medical license to practice in the state of Colorado
- Experience in pediatrics is preferred
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus
Schedule: 24-hour beeper call 7a-7a
Setting: Inpatient only 8-bed Level I Nursery
Patient Volume: 1.5 per day 30 per month
Duties: Newborn care
Required Procedures:Circumcision and PALS
Support Staff:Lab tech X-ray tech and RN
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
