As a Locum MD in Radiology you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services and interpretations that are vital for patient care. You will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals ensuring that diagnostic imaging meets the highest standards while contributing to the overall efficiency of our medical practice.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays MRIs and CT scans
- Interpret and analyze imaging results to assist in patient diagnosis
- Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss imaging results and recommendations
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient examinations and findings
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols in the imaging department
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide education and guidance to patients regarding imaging procedures
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in radiology and imaging technologies
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD) with a valid medical license to practice in the state
- Associate-level experience in Radiology
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging modalities and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care
Schedule: Weekdays 8a-5p
Call: Weekdays (5p-8a) and weekends (Friday 5p-Monday 8a)
Daily Volume: 5-8 procedures
Required Procedures: Central venous access percutaneous biopsy/drainage mesenteric arteriography venous/DVT/IVC filter trauma embolization nephrostomy/biliary
Must be board-certified
