Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
Maintain and repair all equipment including but not limited to shredder eddy current baler etc.
Acetylene torch and plasma cutting
MIG welding and stick welding using 7018
Band Saw operation
Change liners grates hammers etc.
Maintain conveyor systems gear boxes motors etc
Work in outdoor and indoor environments.
Minor cleanup and other duties as assigned
Assist other maintenance and production personnel during scheduled repair projects
