Our client a Global Top 10 Big Pharma organization is seeking a dynamic Global Procurement Process Automation Lead to manage a strategic category on a global scale. This role involves developing and executing procurement strategies optimizing processes and driving efficiencies across all business units. As part of the CAPEX Procurement Team you will focus on process equipment within the booming AI and automation landscape. This role is critical for standardizing technology enhancing processes and managing a complex portfolio of automation projects to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Category Management: Develop and execute end-to-end portfolio strategies for automation process equipment incorporating lifecycle management (e.g. standardization TCO obsolescence) and adhering to Global Category Management processes.
- Process Improvement: Analyze internal and external needs consolidate business requirements and propose innovative solutions for process optimization.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain a robust stakeholder network fostering collaboration across Global Engineering Manufacturing and Supply to implement strategies tailored to regional and global needs.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Negotiate advantageous terms manage supplier relationships and oversee compliance to ensure quality timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Project Leadership: Act as a change agent for multi-location projects support RFQ processes and lead negotiations for automation process equipment projects.
- Metrics and Reporting: Communicate departmental vision and goals track functional metrics and report on procurement savings and performance outcomes.
Requirements
- Professional CAPEX and procurement experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.)
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical equipment supplier market including construction and automation systems.
- Familiarity with procurement systems processes and best practices.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Effective project management capabilities.
- Leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Degree in Engineering Business or a related field.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
