Job Summary

Our client a Global Top 10 Big Pharma organization is in search of aGlobal Category Buyer - MROwho will manage the assigned category on a global scale developing and implementing sourcing strategies and leading procurement activities across all business units.

Responsibilities

  • Present and contribute to procurement strategies for review and input by internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of supply chain best practices and industry benchmarks.
  • Propose innovative solutions and alternatives for process improvements in the MRO category.
  • Communicate departmental goals and vision effectively across teams.
  • Ensure the execution and operational follow-up of action plans based on defined strategies in collaboration with the procurement network and stakeholders.
  • Provide support to the Global Lead Buyer in executing category and sourcing strategies.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives ensuring delivery of a robust savings pipeline aligned with targets.
  • Lead global RFPs/RFIs and negotiate contracts for MRO services and products.
  • Monitor and report on performance savings and risks related to MRO sourcing activities.
  • Stay informed on market trends and new developments in the MRO space.
  • Act as a change agent by bringing in external innovations and leveraging global scale.
  • Benchmark MRO practices against other industries to adopt best practices.
  • Manage supplier performance through regular business reviews and robust performance management practices.
  • Ensure procurement excellence in areas such as TCO SRM compliance quality and sustainability.
  • Resolve issues with suppliers ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Requirements

  • In-depth technical knowledge of preventive and reactive maintenance methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management practices including FIFO and stock optimization.
  • Proficiency in tools such as SAP MM module CMMS systems and advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
  • Experience with remote maintenance technologies including machinery connectivity and sensor-based monitoring.
  • Familiarity with financial planning cost management and legal frameworks in procurement.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical thinker with a problem-solving mindset able to derive insights from large data sets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.
  • Adaptable innovative and resourceful with a strong focus on results and compliance with ethical standards.
  • Degree in Engineering orBusiness
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.
