Your new position as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) will see you work within the Evacuation Systems Workshop (Aircraft slides and rafts). In this role you will be responsible for the repair overhaul and maintenance of the latest aircraft evacuation equipment including slides reservoirs and gas generators for Qantas Group and customer airlines

For the successful candidate there will also be the potential for product certification qualification (NLCS) to be attained after a minimum qualification period (subject to performance and availability).

Youll have

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills or the ability to successfully transfer your qualifications through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process
  • Prior experience working with safety equipments maintenance is advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to being customer focused with flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
  • High attention to detail and ability to comply with Qantas Maintenance procedures
  • An understanding of the obligations on employees and employers required by the relevant regulators including CASA FAA and WorkSafe
  • The ability to work to tight timelines with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility with the ability to meet changing departmental requirements
