YOUR NEW ROLE

Step into the spotlight behind the scenes at Sydney Opera House.
Were seeking a passionate Senior Lighting Technician to join a collaborative high-performing team delivering world-class theatre and entertainment experiences. Youll support artists to shine lead small technical teams and bring productions to life using your deep expertise in lighting systems and equipment. This role champions safety quality and innovation contributing to WHS leadership and the care of our iconic technical assets. ARE YOU THE ONE

  • Minimum 3 years professional experience delivering lighting services in live performance environments.
  • Proven ability to operate lighting consoles follow spots and floor electrics to ahigh professional standard during live productions.
  • Strong working knowledge of lighting systems and infrastructure includingnetworked lighting distribution moving lights intelligent/LED fixtures strobes conventional lighting lamp maintenance and system fault-finding.
  • Ability tolead and supervise small technical teams delivering efficient outcomes through clear communication mentoring and collaboration.
  • Competence ininterpreting and creating technical documentation including lighting plans patch sheets cue lists and event documentation.
  • Physically fit comfortable working at heights and able to meet the demands of manual and technical work in a live theatre environment.
  • Willingness to workrotating and irregular shifts with a strong commitment toWHS compliance teamwork and customer-focused service.
