What you will do:

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 (M365) Specialist / Administrator to join on a permanent basis. This role will support the end-to-end rollout of the full M365 suite including Microsoft Teams SharePoint Exchange Online OneDrive and Microsoft Copilot. The successful candidate will ensure these platforms are well-managed secure and fully embedded into day-to-day operations while also supporting change management user adoption and ongoing optimisation 

This role will suit someone who has deep hands-on experience across Microsoft 365 administration particularly in licensing configuration security and policy management.  Working alongside a project team delivering deployments this role will be responsible for ensuring the environment is stable secure and fit for long-term business needs. 

Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert in the adoption of M365. Produce detailed design documentation implementation and automation of Microsoft 365 services allowing secure and efficient consumption management and ongoing support to provide a quality customer experience
  • Administer licensing configuration governance and compliance across M365 services
  • Stabilise operations and ensure secure reliable platform performance
  • Partner with the project team to deliver successful rollouts and smooth user adoption
  • Translate business and user requirements into effective configuration and policy settings
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve automation governance and security
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolution to maintain service stability
  • Create clear documentation guides and knowledge transfer materials for ongoing support.

Qualifications :

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree qualifications in a relevant discipline with extensive experience certifications or an equivalent level of work experience and training
  • Extensive experience managing configuring and deploying Microsoft 365 services including CoPilot Teams SharePoint Intune and Power Platform 
  • Extensive experience managing configuring and deploying other M365 services (Intune SharePoint Entra ID/Azure AD) are highly regarded 
  • Strong automation and scripting skills eg PowerShell Power Automate or Azure Logic Apps 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing user identities roles and access permissions across various systems and applications
  • Knowledge of implementing and managing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions in Entra ID/Azure AD ensuring secure and seamless access to multiple applications
  • Experience in Identity and Access Management (IDAM) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations
  • Understanding of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and their implementation to protect sensitive information. Familiarity with Microsoft Purview for data governance ensuring compliance and managing data lifecycle effectively
  • Working understanding of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint/Defender for 365 including configuring advanced threat protection and endpoint detection and response (EDR). Experience in utilising Microsoft Defenders threat analytics and security recommendations to enhance organisational security
  • Experience with Mimecast administration and configuration 
  • Experience developing and maintaining secure managed/standard operating environments for endpoint devices 
  • Excellent troubleshooting communication and documentation skills 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well with others in a changing and dynamic team environment 
  • Strong customer focus with experience working with ITIL practices
  • Working with Children Check clearance (NSW) for paid workers
  • National Police Clearance.
